| Emerge Partnership |
Emerge is a visual arts focused partnership which developed
between the neighbouring London Boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Enfield,
Haringey and Harrow through work on an annual award for young
artists which selected and exhibited in the five boroughs.
Emerge has developed as a result of this collaboration to pool
resources and knowledge across the five boroughs to meet the
development needs of emerging individual artists and artists
groups across and within each borough. |
| Emerge Events |
The conference open sessions and feedback on 12th November 2005 will inform the focus of smaller satellite events in each of the participating boroughs over the course of 2005 - 2006.
In consultation with artists across all the boroughs Emerge has identified a need for artists' surgeries, business support and the benefits of a supportive visual artists network with local artists and existing artists' groups.
Each borough's has artists' networks at various stages of development. The Emerge Satellite events aim to build on the work of existing networks and support the development of emerging networks.

| Emerge Bursaries |
| The
scheme will be launched at the conference and artists or groups
of artists will be invited to submit applications for the Bursary
Scheme by 31st March 2006. There will be five bursaries of £500
each. Bursaries may be used for artists to organise their own
professional development or networking event with activities
taking place between April and September 2006.

| Emerge Conference |
A one day conference is taking place on Saturday 12 November 2005 at ArtsDepot, aimed at emerging and emergent professional visual artists based in the five boroughs. The conference will provide professional development and business guidance through a range of speakers, access to visual arts organisations and Open Space sessions.
Open Space is about getting people together to discuss, share ideas, pool knowledge and develop plans for collaborations. These future collaborations could be the development of new and existing art networks supported by the post conference the satellite events and bursary scheme detailed below.
